Anxiety "Choosing courage over comfort" (David, S 2016)

Anxiety is that uncomfortable feeling we experience in our body.

It can keep us up at night causing lack of sleep causing insomnia and tiredness.

Some people may feel sick or be sick.

It may cause loss of appetite or an a increase in appetite.

Anxiety keeps us on guard and it usually happens when we are worried about the future or anticipating an event.

Many people can experience anxiety through disorders such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorders, General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Phobias

The bottom line is...

Anxiety is a normal emotion to experience and everyone will feel anxious from time to time and it affects everybody differently.

The good news is you do not have to struggle with your anxiety on your own. I can help and support you with your anxiety whether it is moderate to a high level of anxiety. I will listen to your worries, encourage self-awareness of thoughts and feelings as well as somatic body awareness. We can work through various techniques together such as breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises and one of my personal favourites are positive affirmations. These can be quite powerful and can affirm positive beliefs of our self and maintain self-integrity.
